Cummins Procurement Announces New Leadership
Last week, Stan Woszczynski, Cummins' longtime Vice President of Manufacturing, announced his retirement after 30 years with the Company. Stan was a respected and dedicated leader and mentor at Cummins, and his legacy will be felt for years to come.
Upon Stan's retirement, Tim Millwood, Cummins' current Vice President of Purchasing, will transition to the Vice President of Manufacturing role. His transition into this role is effective April 1, 2018.
Since 2012, Tim has led the Cummins Purchasing function, working hard to build a diverse and skilled supplier base. He takes pride in the relationships he built with Cummins' suppliers and enjoys working alongside such a talented team of purchasing professionals.
In this new role, Tim will return to his manufacturing roots. Prior to leading Purchasing at Cummins, Tim held a variety of leadership roles in manufacturing and purchasing, including international assignments as Latin America IPO leader in Brazil and Plant Manager for the Darlington Engine Plant in the UK. More recently, he served as the General Manager of our Cummins Scania XPI Joint Venture and was the initial Supply Chain Leader for the Components Business.
Effective April 1, Jim Gruwell will become Executive Director of Strategic Purchasing. For the past three years, Jim served as Executive Director of Supply Chain Strategy at Cummins and led several large-scale strategic initiatives and transformational programs across the Supply Chain. Prior to joining Cummins, Jim worked for Dell, holding several positions in global supply chain strategy, design and implementation. He was also a General Manager for Solectron Texas and held a variety of engineering and operations roles with IBM.
Jim's extensive experience in improving Supply Chain capabilities, helping others achieve personal success and delivering excellence in everything he does makes him the right person to lead Cummins' Purchasing function. As a former Tier I supplier himself, Jim brings great perspective to this new role.
